Leaders in content marketing experience 8 times more growth on their sites! To optimize your content, the Cherry team supports you in 10 key steps.

1 – PLACE YOUR KEY MESSAGE FROM THE BEGINNING

In an ultra-connected world, where everything moves very fast, you must, in the blink of an eye, arouse and capture the curiosity of your reader to make him want to read more.

2 – USE A DIRECT AND ASSERTIVE TONE OF VOICE

Get to the point! Use simple and concrete terms and keep your impact. Do not hesitate to have someone close to you who does not know the subject proofread your text and ask for their opinion. Is it clear enough for him or her?

3 – EXPRESS YOURSELF WITH SIMPLE VOCABULARY

The idea is to challenge the reader to finish reading, be sure to use a vocabulary that will be understood by all audiences.

4 – MAKE SHORT SENTENCES WITH A SINGLE IDEA

On the web, the ideal word count for a sentence is only 12 words! It is therefore necessary to have only one idea per sentence to make it easier for the reader to understand your content.

5 – ALSO WRITE FOR GOOGLE (SEO)

You write for your reader, but also for Google. Make sure you take care and structure your SEO content (add links, your text should be between 300 and 500 words…).

6 – ADAPT THE TONE TO YOUR TARGET

Each text can have a different tone. It all depends on your target!

  • For a blog preferably use a natural, relaxed tone, but not too much.
  • If you have a journalistic type of website, prefer a neutral, professional and rational tone.

7 – APPEAL TO YOUR READERS

Stimulate their interests by challenging them with information about them that affects their daily lives! Give priority to the present to get your message across.

8 – CREATE A NEAT AND AIRY LAYOUT

Readability is the key point of a good web article. All content should be read without effort. Readability concerns the typography, the graphic aspect but also the degree of « understanding » of the content.

9 – USE RELEVANT VISUALS

The text completes the picture. Do not forget that an article with an adapted visual gets 94% more views than an article alone. In addition, computer graphics are very popular with patients and healthcare professionals.

10 – DON’T FORGET TO PLACE SECONDARY INFORMATION IN THE APPENDIX

Avoid interfering with your key message with secondary information! Put them in an appendix.
